Wild Series and Game: Snipers Advance in OT
The Snipers got off to a quick and decisive start with a 3-0 game one victory over the Suffolk Sting in the best of three semi-pro series. With a trip to the FInals on the line, the Sting came storming back, down two goals in the second period of game two. Included in that come back was a late goal with the goalie pull and just 14 seconds left on the clock. Then in overtime it was Sean Phelan of the Stong that extended the series to a deciding game three. Game three proved to be even tighter. Once again regulation wasn't enough to decide the game. A scoreless second period made way for an overtime with Colorado on the line. This time it was the Snipers that had the answer off the stick of Daniel Nelson. The win advances the Snipers to Colorado and the PIHA Finals in May.
