(SEMI) Gladiators Headed Back to Finals

The two time defending semi-pro champion Marple Gladiators earned their way back to the PIHA Finals in a barn burner  series with the Pottstown Iron Knights.  Shawn Maffei scored early in game one for the Glads and Nik Tkacz made it stand up, as the Glads survived in a 1-0 game one.  In game two the Iron Knights came out energized and took the early lead.  Everytime the Gladiators would answer the Knights would continue to retake the lead.  A late game tying goal by Justin Paton sent game two into overtime.  Again it was Paton who slipped a pass from behind the net to a wide open Rocco Colucci for the series clincher.
