Rocky Mountain November Recap
The Rocky Mountain Division has continued to show that it could go to the last weekend of the season to figure out playoff positioning, seeding, etc. In the pro division, the Mile High Blizzard currently lead the division after rushing out to a 4-2 start with two more games played, led by Andrew Bond and Ryan Wass-Tursick. They split their previous weekend series with the Thunder in Colorado Springs.
With each two game set being competitive, each team can make a run and turn the division standings upside-down once again. Defending champions Demon Dogs haven't played a set since October.
In the semipro division, the Front Range Thunder (5-1) lead the division with 6 games played after sweeping the Aurora Royals yesterday in Colorado Springs. The Frost are in second, but their start has been impressive for a new semipro team. The Fire occupy the last two spots in the division, but they have played 2 less games than the rest. Same with the pro division, we might have more clarity as the season moves along.
In the Minor division, it's the Tugboats and the Fire that are emerging as the early favorites. The Fire rushed out to a 3-1 start, with their loss coming against the last place Typhoon. The Tugboats dominated their series against the Thunder, winning 6-2 and 11-2.
The Division is off until early December. All levels have been competitive so far, and the league is looking forward to what December and January will bring.
