Rebellion onto the East Semi-Final
The East Coast Rebellion came into the qtr-final series, as the 5gth seeded under dog, and defeated the 4th seed Few. In game one the Rebellion went wire to wire and won 5-3. Game two was a goaltending and defensive battle. The Few had multiple opportunities late in the third on the power play, but it was the Rebellion who tallied short handed to take a late 2-1 lead. Just moments late the Few swung the momentum back in their favor, as the finally took advantage of one of their late power plays. In overtime, it appeared the Pro divisions top goal scorer Ryan Marker had the game won, as he deked the goalie and had a wide open net. A game saving stick lift not only save day, it turned the play back the other way and the Rebellion's Paul Boutoussov scored the series clinching goal.
Up next for the Rebeliion will be the top seeded Pittsburgh Inferno later Saturday evening.
