Rebellion Close Out Longplex Schedule With Statement Weekend

East Coast Rebellion used their final regular-season stop at Longplex in Tiverton, RI to send a clear message to the rest of the Semi-Pro Northeast field, rolling to a perfect 4-0 day on Saturday, January 10. Suffolk Sting pushed them hardest and left Rhode Island with a solid 2-1-1 mark, while Moriches Sting and ISCA Revolt each showed flashes but ultimately finished 1-3 as all four clubs wrapped their 2025-26 regular-season schedules. With the standings now locked in, attention shifts from points and tiebreakers to match-ups and travel plans for division playoffs and, ultimately, spots at the PIHA Finals in March.

Game-by-Game Recap

East Coast Rebellion 5, Suffolk Sting 4 (OT)
The day opened with a track meet between two of the division’s heavyweights. Suffolk built momentum with timely scoring and kept East Coast chasing for stretches, but the Rebellion’s depth eventually tilted the ice. A late push forced overtime, where East Coast found the extra-frame winner to start their day with two points and deny Suffolk a statement regulation win.

ISCA Revolt 6, Moriches Sting 3
ISCA set the tone early in their opener, jumping on Moriches with quick strikes and never fully relinquishing control. Moriches generated chances but couldn’t string together enough finishes to erase the early deficit. Revolt’s transition game and finishing around the net provided the margin in a game that felt more lopsided than the final score.

East Coast Rebellion 9, ISCA Revolt 2
Game three showcased just how dangerous East Coast’s offense can be when it gets rolling. The Rebellion spread the scoring around with multiple lines contributing, turning a competitive start into a blowout as the game wore on. ISCA battled to the end, but East Coast’s puck movement and shot volume overwhelmed them in one of the day’s most dominant performances.

Suffolk Sting 7, Moriches Sting 2
Suffolk responded to their OT loss by hammering Moriches with a clinical effort at both ends of the floor. The Sting attacked in waves, finishing off odd-man rushes and capitalizing on extended zone time while keeping Moriches’ looks largely to the perimeter. A couple of late Moriches pushes broke up the shutout bid, but Suffolk’s control was never in doubt.

East Coast Rebellion 7, Moriches Sting 3
Moriches tried to slow things down against East Coast but couldn’t contain the Rebellion’s speed through the neutral zone. Once again East Coast found scoring from several different forwards, pulling away in the second half after Moriches briefly cut the margin. Special teams and opportunistic finishing extended the gap as the Rebellion moved to 3-0 on the day.

Suffolk Sting 7, ISCA Revolt 3
In their third game, Suffolk leaned on structure and veteran poise to wear down ISCA. The Sting were efficient on their chances, turning defensive stops into quick counterattacks and stretching the lead as Revolt pressed to get back in it. ISCA generated some offense of their own but couldn’t match Suffolk’s finishing touch in tight.

East Coast Rebellion 3, Suffolk Sting 2 (SO)
The marquee matchup of the day lived up to its billing. Suffolk tightened up defensively and answered each punch from East Coast to push the game through regulation and a scoreless overtime. In the shootout, Rebellion shooters showed just enough creativity and patience to grab the extra point and complete the 4-0 sweep, while Suffolk had to settle for a hard-earned single.

Moriches Sting 7, ISCA Revolt 1
Moriches finished their regular season with a statement, exploding offensively in the nightcap. After a tight opening stretch, the Sting found their rhythm, piling up goals and finally getting the bounces that had eluded them earlier in the day. ISCA, playing their fourth game as well, couldn’t match the pace and saw Moriches skate off with a comfortable win and some momentum heading into the postseason.

Team-by-Team Breakdown

East Coast Rebellion
The Rebellion couldn’t have scripted a better finish to their regular season, posting a perfect 4-0 record at Longplex with wins in every situation: regulation, overtime, and shootout. Their offensive depth and ability to roll multiple scoring lines were on full display, and the weekend results reinforce their status as one of the division’s benchmark programs heading into playoffs. In the broader standings picture, East Coast’s body of work has them firmly positioned among the Semi-Pro Northeast’s top contenders as they turn their focus to hardware and a potential trip to the PIHA Finals.

Suffolk Sting
Suffolk’s day was every bit as impressive, even if it came with a pair of heart-breaking extra-time losses to East Coast. A 2-1-1 record, with both setbacks coming beyond regulation, speaks to how thin the margin is between these two clubs. Suffolk’s mix of structure, physicality, and timely scoring has them solidly entrenched in the playoff picture, and their Longplex performance suggests they will be a difficult out for anyone they face in the divisional bracket.

Moriches Sting
Moriches rode a roller coaster in Rhode Island, dropping their first three games before erupting for seven goals in their finale against ISCA. When they’re clicking, the Sting can score in bunches and force opponents into track-meet style games, but they will look to tighten up defensively heading into the postseason. Their inconsistent day at Longplex doesn’t erase the work they have put in across the full schedule, and they remain a dangerous opponent capable of pulling an upset if they find their best form at the right time.

ISCA Revolt
ISCA opened their day with a solid win over Moriches but struggled to sustain that level against increasingly tough opposition. As the games piled up, Revolt found themselves chasing in most of their remaining contests, with defensive breakdowns and extended time in their own end proving costly against the division’s higher-octane offenses. Even so, their flashes—especially early—show that the foundation is there; their challenge now is to tighten details and bring a full-game effort when playoff hockey begins.

Individual Standouts

East Coast’s balanced scoring made it difficult to key on any one line. Forwards like Troy Power, Ryan Cotcamp, and Andrew Cetola, along with play-driving forward Steve Drizis, were frequent fixtures on the scoresheet and instrumental in both 5-on-5 and special-teams success.

Suffolk once again leaned on their core to drive play, with their front-line forwards combining for multi-point efforts in several games and their goaltending holding up despite facing quality chances from both Moriches and East Coast.

For Moriches, their offensive breakout in the finale highlighted the skill of their top scorers, who finally converted on the chances they had been creating throughout the day. ISCA’s opener featured strong work from their leading forwards and a sturdy performance in goal, with several key saves early that set the stage for their lone win of the festival.

What’s Next

With Longplex in the rear-view mirror, all four clubs now pivot immediately to their respective division playoffs. The regular-season body of work—reflected in the current standings—sets the bracket, but from this point forward seeding is less important than execution in a short series. Each division winner will punch its ticket to the PIHA Finals at the end of March, and if Longplex was any indication, the Semi-Pro Northeast race for that berth is wide open and will be fiercely contested.
