by Anthony Flynn

The Suffolk Sting have been about as reliable to be in the PIHA FInals, as the sun is sure to rise every morning.  This season they lost only game in overtime.  To start the Division final, the Few came out energized after their sweep of the Inferno and led from start to finish in 3-2 game one win for the Few.  The Sting answered back with a 3-2 win of their own, setting up the all important game three.  Scoreless through one period, the Few tallied early in the second and carried that lead late into the period, before the league's top scorer PJ Dimartino finally answer Mike Maczynski to tie the game at 1-1.  Headed to over time, it was all up to the next goal scorer to decide who would go to the PIHA Finals. Max Halverson would be that hero for the Sting, as he caugh a bit of rare space and sniped the overtime game winner.
