PIHA Releases 2026-27 Northeast Minor Schedule

The Professional Inline Hockey Association has officially released the 2026-27 PIHA Northeast Minor regular-season schedule, setting the stage for another packed season in the league’s largest region.

This season’s Northeast Minor field features 24 teams spread across four divisions — Metropolitan, Mid-Atlantic, Delaware Valley and Colonial — with each team once again playing a 20-game regular season. The complete Northeast schedule includes 240 games beginning Saturday, September 26, 2026 and continuing through Saturday, January 30, 2027.

Expanded Crossover Schedule Highlights 2026-27 Format

One of the biggest changes for the upcoming season will be a significant expansion of the Northeast's divisional crossover schedule.

In recent seasons, Northeast Minor teams participated in two crossover events during the regular season. For 2026-27, that number increases to three crossover events for every team, giving clubs an opportunity to compete against teams from each of the other three Northeast divisions.

Each crossover event consists of four games per team, meaning 12 of every team's 20 regular-season games will now come against opponents from outside its own division.

The remaining eight games will be played within the team's division, maintaining the importance of divisional competition while creating a much broader regional schedule.

The change gives teams considerably more variety throughout the regular season and creates more opportunities to measure themselves against clubs they historically may not have seen until later in the year.

2026-27 Northeast Minor Crossover Schedule

All four Northeast divisions will meet one another once during the regular season, creating six major crossover events:

• September 26 – Metropolitan vs. Mid-Atlantic
  Skate Safe America
• October 24 – Metropolitan vs. Delaware Valley
  Skate Safe America
• November 14 – Mid-Atlantic vs. Delaware Valley
  Marple Sports Arena
• November 21 – Metropolitan vs. Colonial
  Marple Sports Arena
• December 12 – Mid-Atlantic vs. Colonial
  Marple Sports Arena
• January 9 – Delaware Valley vs. Colonial
  Marple Sports Arena

The crossover portion of the schedule begins immediately on September 26 at Skate Safe America, where the Metropolitan and Mid-Atlantic Divisions will meet across two rinks. The event features 24 games, beginning at noon and continuing throughout the evening.

The Metropolitan Division returns to Skate Safe on October 24 for its second crossover, this time against the Delaware Valley Division. Another 24-game slate will feature all 12 teams competing across Skate Safe's two rinks.

From there, the crossover series shifts to Marple Sports Arena, which will host four of the six crossover events. Mid-Atlantic and Delaware Valley meet November 14, followed one week later by Metropolitan and Colonial on November 21.
Following the holiday break, Mid-Atlantic and Colonial will have already completed their December 12 meeting, while Delaware Valley and Colonial will conclude the crossover schedule on January 9 at Marple Sports Arena.

More Opponents, More Variety

The expanded format means that every Northeast Minor team will face opponents from all three of the region's other divisions during the regular season.

Rather than having the majority of the schedule built around repeated divisional matchups, teams will now spend 60 percent of their regular season — 12 of 20 games — in crossover competition, with the other eight games determining the familiar divisional battles.

The format should also provide a much broader picture of the Northeast Region as the season develops. Teams competing for position within separate divisions will have considerably more common opponents, creating additional opportunities to compare clubs from across the region before postseason play begins.

At the same time, the eight divisional games remain critical. Those matchups will ultimately help shape the divisional standings and the road toward the Northeast postseason.

A 240-Game Road to the Postseason

The Northeast Minor campaign will be played across 13 Saturdays, beginning September 26 and concluding January 30.

In addition to the six crossover dates, divisional events will take teams throughout the Northeast, with regular-season games scheduled at facilities including Skate Safe America, Marple Sports Arena, Inman Sports Center, Rockville Sportsplex, Yellow Breeches Sports Center, Great American Center, Longplex, Rapid Fire Arena and the Inline Skating Club of America.
The final regular-season games are scheduled for Saturday, January 30, when Mid-Atlantic Division teams close out the 240-game Northeast Minor schedule at the Inline Skating Club of America.

With more crossover competition, more common opponents and all four divisions scheduled to face one another during the regular season, the 2026-27 PIHA Northeast Minor season will feature the most interconnected schedule the region has used to date.

The road through the Northeast begins September 26.
