PIHA Releases 2026-27 Eastern Conference Pro Schedule
The Professional Inline Hockey Association has officially released the 2026-27 PIHA Eastern Conference Pro schedule, setting the stage for a 60-game regular season and another chase for the PIHA Founder Cup.
PIHA Pro is divided into Eastern and Western Conferences, with each side playing its own regular season and postseason to determine a conference champion. At the end of the road, the champions of the East and West will meet annually in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where the PIHA Founder Cup will be decided in a best-of-seven championship series.
For the six teams competing in the Eastern Conference, that road is now officially set.
Six Teams Battle for the Eastern Conference
The 2026-27 Eastern Conference will feature:
Buffalo Wings
Hockey Plus Blue Heelers
Motor City Dirty Dawgs
Pittsburgh Inferno
Suffolk Sting
Toronto 6ixers
Each team will play a 20-game regular season, and the schedule could not be much more balanced.
Every Eastern Conference team will face each of its five opponents four times, giving every club the exact same path through the conference.
That creates a straightforward regular-season formula:
5 Opponents
4 Games Against Each Opponent
20 Games Per Team
60 Total Eastern Conference Games
With no uneven opponent distribution, every matchup will carry equal weight as teams work toward the postseason and an opportunity to represent the East in Colorado Springs.
Eastern Conference Opens November 7
The Pro season gets underway on Saturday, November 7 at Big Boy Arena, where Buffalo Wings, Motor City Dirty Dawgs and Toronto 6ixers will play the first six games of the Eastern Conference schedule.
Buffalo and Motor City officially open the season at 4:00 PM, followed by Buffalo against Toronto and Motor City against Toronto.
The three teams will each play one another twice during the opening event, giving all three four games before leaving Big Boy Arena.
One week later, the other half of the Eastern Conference gets its season underway.
Suffolk, Hockey Plus and Pittsburgh Open at Inman
Inman Sports Complex will host the second Eastern Conference event on November 14-15, featuring Suffolk Sting, Hockey Plus Blue Heelers and Pittsburgh Inferno.
The three clubs will play six games Saturday evening before returning Sunday for three additional games.
The opening weekend gives Suffolk, Hockey Plus and Pittsburgh an opportunity to establish some early familiarity before the entire conference comes together for the first time in December.
Entire Eastern Conference Meets in Grove City
The schedule shifts into another gear on December 5-6, when all six Eastern Conference teams converge at Grove City YMCA.
It will be the first event of the season featuring the entire Eastern Conference in one location and, more importantly, the first opportunity for the teams that opened in separate regional groups to face one another.
The weekend begins with Suffolk Sting against Hockey Plus Blue Heelers before Pittsburgh Inferno meets Buffalo Wings. From there, the schedule begins mixing the field, including Suffolk against Motor City, Hockey Plus against Buffalo, Toronto against Suffolk and Pittsburgh against Toronto.
The two-day event features 19 games, making it the largest Eastern Conference Pro weekend of the regular season.
By the time teams leave Grove City, the early-season picture will have expanded considerably, with clubs having had their first extended opportunity to measure themselves against opponents from across the entire conference.
Grove City Hosts Another Major Weekend in January
After the holiday break, all six teams return to Grove City YMCA on January 9-10 for another major Eastern Conference weekend.
Saturday features 12 games beginning with Suffolk Sting against Motor City Dirty Dawgs at 1:00 PM and continuing through Toronto 6ixers against Hockey Plus Blue Heelers at 8:20 PM.
Six more games follow Sunday morning.
With the regular season entering its final stretch, the January weekend could carry significant importance as teams continue building their position for the Eastern Conference postseason.
Regular Season Concludes January 23
The Eastern Conference regular season concludes Saturday, January 23 at Big Boy Arena.
Pittsburgh Inferno, Motor City Dirty Dawgs, Buffalo Wings and Toronto 6ixers will take part in the final eight games of the conference schedule.
The final night begins with Pittsburgh against Motor City at 4:00 PM and concludes at 8:40 PM with Buffalo Wings against Motor City Dirty Dawgs.
When that final game ends, all six Eastern Conference clubs will have completed their 20-game regular seasons, and the focus will shift entirely toward the postseason.
One Conference Champion Moves On
The regular season represents only the first stage of the chase.
Once the Eastern Conference postseason is complete, one team will remain and earn the opportunity to represent the East against the Western Conference champion.
Waiting at the end is the PIHA Founder Cup.
The Eastern and Western champions will travel to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where the league championship will be determined through a best-of-seven series.
For the six teams in the East, reaching that series begins with 20 regular-season games against five familiar opponents.
Every team plays everyone.
Every opponent appears four times.
And when the Eastern Conference schedule is complete, the road toward crowning the next PIHA Founder Cup Champion will be one step closer to Colorado Springs.
The 2026-27 PIHA Eastern Conference Pro schedule is officially set.
