PIHA Announces 2026-27 Southeast Region Division Alignment

The Professional Inline Hockey Association is pleased to announce the 2026-27 PIHA Southeast Region Minor and Semi-Pro division alignment, as the region continues to build on its growth from recent seasons.

The Southeast will again feature two Minor divisions — Piedmont and Sunshine — while Semi-Pro teams will compete together in the Southeast Division.

On the Minor side, the region will feature 12 teams across the two divisions, including five new teams entering PIHA competition for the 2026-27 season. The Semi-Pro division will feature four teams, including one new addition. All three defending division champions also return as the road toward the 2027 PIHA Finals begins again.

Minor — Piedmont Division

The Piedmont Division expands to seven teams for the upcoming season, with a combination of established programs and two new additions.

The Champion Asheville Aces return after capturing the Piedmont Division championship last season and will look to defend their title against an expanded field.

The division also welcomes Sandhill Slashes and QC Crown as new teams for 2026-27, adding even more depth to a Piedmont group that has continued to develop into an important part of PIHA's Southeast footprint.

With seven teams in the division, there will be no shortage of new matchups and familiar rivalries throughout the regular season.

Minor — Sunshine Division

Florida's Sunshine Division will feature five teams, including three new additions and the defending division champion.

• Gainesville Crocodiles — Defending Division Champions

The Gainesville Crocodiles return to defend their Sunshine Division championship after earning the division's trip to the PIHA Finals last season.

They will be joined by returning Unify Hooligans, while Buttery Roller Foundation, Saucy Sloths, and Florida Makos all enter as new teams for the 2026-27 campaign.

With three of the division's five teams new to PIHA competition, the Sunshine Division will have a very different look this season and should feature plenty of fresh matchups from the opening event forward.

Semi-Pro — Southeast Division

The Southeast Semi-Pro Division will feature four teams for the 2026-27 season, including the defending division champions and one new entry.

• Raleigh Titlewave Mops — Defending Division Champions
• Nashville Broadway Blades
• Florida Citrus Kings
• South Florida Pucky Charms*

The Raleigh Titlewave Mops return as the defending Southeast Semi-Pro Division champions and will once again look to earn the region's berth at the PIHA Finals.

They will be joined by the Nashville Broadway Blades and Florida Citrus Kings, while the South Florida Pucky Charms enter PIHA Semi-Pro competition as a new team for the 2026-27 season.

With teams spanning multiple states and significant travel built into the schedule, the Southeast Semi-Pro Division will once again test both depth and consistency throughout the regular season.

Continued Growth in the Southeast

The 2026-27 alignment gives the Southeast Region 16 total teams across three divisions, with six new teams joining PIHA competition.

From North Carolina through Tennessee and Florida, PIHA continues to establish a stronger regional structure that allows organizations to compete within the Southeast while still providing a pathway through division playoffs and ultimately to the PIHA Finals in Colorado Springs.

The combination of returning contenders, defending champions, and new organizations should make the 2026-27 campaign one of the most interesting Southeast seasons yet.
