PIHA Announces 2026-27 Northeast Region Minor Division Alignment
The Professional Inline Hockey Association is pleased to officially announce the 2026-27 PIHA Northeast Region Minor Division alignment, featuring 24 teams across four six-team divisions.
As has become customary, the Northeast Region will get its season underway slightly earlier than many other areas of the country. As PIHA's largest region, securing the necessary rink time for the regular season and postseason requires additional scheduling flexibility. Northeast teams also face the added logistical challenge of traveling to the PIHA Finals each season, making it important to complete Regional Playoffs with several additional weeks available for teams to plan and prepare for a potential trip to Colorado Springs.
The upcoming season will feature plenty of familiar rivalries, several returning organizations under updated identities, and significant growth throughout the region. Nine new teams will join the Northeast Minor ranks for 2026-27.
Metropolitan Division
The Metropolitan Division once again brings together teams from New York, Long Island and the surrounding area, while welcoming two new entries to the division.
- East Coast Rebellion*
- East Coast Capital Snipers*
- Labeda Qinetic Legends — formerly Empire State Legends Black
- Empire State Labeda Legends — formerly Empire State Legends Gold
- Long Island Rink Rat Blazers
- Suffolk Sting
The longtime Empire State Legends organization will continue to field multiple teams, with its former Black and Gold teams competing under the new Labeda Qinetic Legends and Empire State Labeda Legends identities.
Mid-Atlantic Division
The Mid-Atlantic Division will feature a mix of established PIHA programs and three new teams entering the league.
- Champion Impact
- Mid Atlantic Mystic Storm*
- Fusion Blizzard*
- New Jersey Jagaloons
- ISCA Grizzlies
- Tri-State Mach1 Dopermen*
With half of the division consisting of new entries, the Mid-Atlantic will have a noticeably different look in 2026-27 and should provide plenty of new matchups throughout the regular season.
Delaware Valley Division
The Delaware Valley Division features several familiar organizations along with two newcomers.
- Champion Trojan Pandas — formerly Purple Pandas
- Champion Trash Pandas
- New Jersey Assault*
- Unify New Jersey Wolfpack
- South Jersey Geese Chasers
- Freedom HC*
The former Purple Pandas will return this season under the new Champion Trojan Pandas name, joining the Champion Trash Pandas as part of another competitive six-team grouping.
Colonial Division
The Colonial Division stretches the Northeast footprint west and south and includes teams from Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia.
- 309 Frostbite*
- SK Marple Gladiators
- Susquehanna Scream
- Steel City Shockwave
- Chesapeake Baymen
- Nova Blades*
The division welcomes 309 Frostbite and the Nova Blades, who will join four established programs for the upcoming campaign.
A Growing Northeast Region
The 2026-27 alignment gives the Northeast Region four balanced six-team Minor divisions and continues the growth of PIHA throughout the region.
With 24 teams and nine new entries, the upcoming season will introduce new organizations and new rivalries while maintaining many of the matchups that have helped make the Northeast one of PIHA's deepest and most competitive regions.
The early start to the Northeast schedule will begin the road toward Regional Playoffs and, ultimately, the opportunity for each division to send its representative to the 2027 PIHA Finals in Colorado Springs.
Additional information, including schedules, event locations and the official start of the 2026-27 Northeast Region season, will be announced as scheduling is finalized.
