Saturday afternoon’s PIHA Minor Division quarterfinals flipped the Finals into single-elimination mode — and the bracket wasted no time producing statement wins, momentum swings, and a defensive clinic.

12:30pm — Suffolk Sting 6, Mavin Tugboats 2

Suffolk looked every bit like a top seed, turning the opener into a convincing win to book a semifinal date with Marple.

1:15pm — Marple Gladiators 4, Steel City 2

Marple continued its weekend resurgence by knocking off Steel City in a composed 4–2 win, setting up an all-Group A semifinal clash with Suffolk.

2:00pm — Motor City Dirty Dawgs 4, New Jersey Jagaloons 2

Motor City stayed unbeaten and kept its championship pace intact, advancing with a 4–2 victory over the Jagaloons to move into the B-bracket semifinal.

2:45pm — Asheville Aces 3, Gainesville Crocodiles 0

Asheville delivered the defensive performance of the round, blanking Gainesville 3–0 behind 34 saves from Josh LittleJohn. Logan Garst powered the offense with two goals and an assist, and Austin Gomez added a short-handed goal to seal it.

With the quarterfinals complete, the bracket is locked for Saturday evening:

  • 5:20pm — Suffolk Sting vs Marple Gladiators (A Bracket Semi-Final)
  • 6:05pm — Motor City Dirty Dawgs vs Asheville Aces (B Bracket Semi-Final)

The winners will advance to the best-of-three Minor Division Final scheduled for Sunday morning — one more step toward a PIHA championship and a defining weekend in Colorado Springs.
