Inferno Sweep 6ixers to Claim Pro East Title, Punch First Finals Trip Since 2017
The Pittsburgh Inferno are back on the one of inline hockey's biggest stages.
Pittsburgh completed a dominant two-game sweep of the Toronto 6ixers in the PIHA Pro East Division Final, taking Game 1 by a 4–1 score before slamming the door with a 3–0 shutout in Game 2. With the series win, the Inferno capture the Pro East crown and officially return to the PIHA Finals for the first time since 2017—the season they won their only Founders Cup to date.
Game 1 — Inferno 4, 6ixers 1
Pittsburgh set the tone immediately in the opener, controlling the game’s tempo and building separation on the scoreboard. Toronto managed to find the net once, but the Inferno’s structure and finishing carried them to a decisive 4–1 win to open the series.

Game 2 — Inferno 3, 6ixers 0

What’s Next: Founders Cup Stage Awaits
The Inferno now advance to the PIHA Finals, where they’ll play a best-of-seven Founders Cup series against the winner of the West Coast Finals, set to begin next weekend.
After knocking off the East’s longtime power earlier in the bracket and then overwhelming Toronto in the final, Pittsburgh heads to the Finals with momentum—and a chance to add a second championship to the franchise history nearly a decade after their 2017 breakthrough.
