Dixie Division to Kick-off Inaugural Event
This coming Saturday will mark a banner day in the Professional Inlinbe Hockey Association. The newest addition to the league will be a minor division being played in Georgia. In particular, Pinckneyville Park in Peachtree Corners, GA will play host to the division and it's four new teams.
The division will house almost 50 new PIHA players from the southeast region. Interested participants went through a tryout period and were then drafted onto the four new teams to create a competitive balance out of the gate. Spearheaded by prominent roller figure in the region Cain Cantrell, the league office has worked hand in hand to help get the division off and running.
This Saturday, the league will play it's first of six regular season festival style events. Each team will compete in three games total each of the six weekends for a total of 18 games. The winning team will join the winners from the other three minor divisions in the first event PIHA Minor League National Championship in Colorado Springs in early March.
