Defending Champions: Pro - Suffolk Sting / Semi-Pro - Philadelphia Deuces / Minor - Champion Trash Pandas
The Philadelphia Deuces certainly had a rollercoaster of a weekend. After a lopsided game one win on Saturday, they struggled for offense in a tight game two against the last seeded Grizzlies. Although they emerged victorious, it couldn't have been on a high.
Sunday the veteran squad Hershey Typhoon scored early in game one and held on for a tight 2-1 victory. It certainly had to send shockwaves through the locker room, as the division's number one seed faced elimination. During the break they found their mojo and scored 13 times in two games, as they won game two 6-1 and game three 7-0. The Deuces now advance to the PIHA Finals and will be one of six team looking to be crowned Semi-Pro National Champions.
