Defending Semi-Pro Champs Prevail

The defending PIHA Semi-pro champs stayed alive over the weekend.  It took all six games, but the Gladiators beat the 309 Sting Rays in three games on Saturday and then followed it up with a tight series win against the young and quick Wheel City team.  All three games proved to be tough and tight, game one went to the Glads 2-1, game two was a 3-1 victory for Wheel City, and then the Gladiators bounced back for a 4-1 win in the deciding game three.  Now the GLadiators join the Deuces, as they both represent the Atlantic division in the semi-pro version of the PIHA Finals in May.
