Barons Survive Blizzard Rally, Win Wild Game 3 in OT to Reach Keystone Final

The Philadelphia Barons are headed to the Keystone Semi-Pro Division Final after outlasting the Fusion Blizzard in a three-game semifinal that had everything—momentum swings, big individual performances, and a Game 3 finish that will be talked about for a long time.

Philadelphia took Game 1 (6–4), Fusion answered in Game 2 (6–4), and the Barons sealed the series in a chaotic Game 3, 7–6 in overtime, after the Blizzard tied it with 22 seconds left in regulation.

Game 1 — Barons 6, Blizzard 4

Philadelphia set the tone early and turned a tight opener into a statement with a five-goal second period. After a 2–1 first period, the Barons erupted for five in the second to take full control and ultimately close out a 6–4 win.

Sean Lloyd (#80) sparked the offense with two goals (including the opener at 2:10), while Joe Brennan (#17) finished with two goals as well—capping the game with an empty-netter in the final seconds.

Game 2 — Blizzard 6, Barons 4

Fusion responded immediately in Game 2, flipping the script behind a blistering first period. PJ Breslow (#24) scored three times in the opening frame (11:02, 8:50, and 0:43), powering the Blizzard to a 6–4 victory and evening the series at 1–1.

The Blizzard finished with a 28–22 edge in shots, and the game was played at full pace with no penalties recorded.

Game 3 — Barons 7, Blizzard 6 (OT)

Game 3 was pure madness.

Philadelphia exploded out of the gate, building a 5–2 lead after the first period, then extended it to 6–2 early in the second. But Fusion refused to go away—storming back with four goals in the second period, culminating in the tying goal at 0:22, deadlocking the game at 6–6 in the final seconds of regulation.

In overtime, the Barons delivered the finishing blow: Pat Foy (#19) ended it at 8:51 of OT, off an assist from Justin Brown (#10), sending Philadelphia into the division final.
