2026-27 PIHA Season Officially Opens at 422 Sportsplex

The Professional Inline Hockey Association officially begins its 2026-27 season on Saturday, September 19, at 422 Sportsplex in Pottstown, Pennsylvania.

Founded in 2002, the PIHA has been a part of the competitive inline hockey landscape for more than two decades. The league currently features three levels of competition — Pro, Semi-Pro, and Minor — with Saturday’s opening event featuring teams from the PIHA Semi-Pro Division.

Four teams will take the floor in Pottstown to officially open the new season: the Pottstown Space Force, Philadelphia Barons, New Jersey Jagaloons, and SK Marple Gladiators.

Opening day features eight Semi-Pro games beginning at 12:00 PM, with each team playing four games throughout the afternoon.

The 2026-27 season officially begins with the Pottstown Space Force taking on the Philadelphia Barons at 12:00 PM. The New Jersey Jagaloons and SK Marple Gladiators will follow at 12:40 PM.

4:00 PM — Philadelphia Barons vs. Pottstown Space Force
4:40 PM — SK Marple Gladiators vs. New Jersey Jagaloons

Saturday represents the first official games of another PIHA season, continuing a history that dates back to the league’s inaugural season in 2002.

Over the coming months, teams across the PIHA’s Pro, Semi-Pro, and Minor divisions will compete throughout their respective regions as the 2026-27 season builds toward the postseason and ultimately the 2027 PIHA Finals.

For the four Semi-Pro teams taking the floor in Pottstown, that journey begins Saturday.
