After four games, the Suffolk Sting lead the division with a 3-1 record. So far, Josh Wager leads all scorers with 8 points (6g, 2a). In the Rocky Mountain Division, "split" was once again the theme in Colorado Springs Friday night. The Thunder hosted the defending Rocky Mountain Conference Champion Denver Demon Dogs at Xfinity Arena. In the first game, the Thunder jumped out to a 4-2 lead to end the first half. Colorado Springs then pulled away and won the game 7-3. Cody Ayers and Colby Moyer scored two goals each in the win. The second game was a different story for the Demon Dogs. After being down 2-0, Phelps, Schaefer, Woods, and Bateman all scored to make it 4-2 after the first half. CJ Bateman then completed his hat-trick and the Dogs fended off a late Thunder comeback to win the second game 6-4.
The Minor League also restarted in the Rockies, as the League looks to have a 4-5 team division this season. The Monument Thunder swept the Pikes Peak Vikings in the opening set in Colorado Springs.
The Rocky Mountain Division will be back in action with pro and semipro action at the Foothills Fieldhouse in Lakewood, Colorado and the Parker Fieldhouse in Parker, Colorado. The pro action will be highlighted by the Lakewood Fire opening at home against the Parker Prowlers on 12/10, and the Prowlers opening up their home campaign 12/11 against the Thunder.
