11/04 Rapid Fire Recap (Pro)

Three pro teams met on Saturday for a quick double round robin event on Long Island.  For the three teams, it marks their third of four events this regular season and will set the teams up for their final event in early December.  The Sting came into the day with a sizeable lead over the competition in the standings.  The Few find themselves in a three way race for second place, with the idle Fusion and Inferno.  The Rebellion have struggled, but were looking to build on the competitive games they had with the Sting earlier in the month.

The Sting and Few waited no time to have the best game of the day right out of the gate.  For the second time this season, the two teams went to overtime, this time with the Few coming out on top.  The loss was the first of the season for the Sting, who have won a number of very tight games, including several OT games this season.  The Sting would win the second game against the Few later in the event, while both the Sting and Few swept their pairs of games with the Rebellion.  

The teams await the completion of a 4 game set between the Inferno and Fusion in a few weeks and then all five teams meet for the final two day event of the regular season in Broomall in December.
