10/12 Rocky Mountain Recap

The Western Conference will prove to be an interesting division once again this season. In Colorado Springs, the Colorado Springs Thunder cruised to a 6-1 victory over the Colorado Stallions after getting out to a big early lead. In the second game, the Colorado Stallions beat the Thunder 7-6 off an impressive 5-goal effort from Nick LeClaire. Isaac King scored the game winner as well.

In Lakewood, the Lakewood Fire hosted the Demon Dogs for a two-game set at Foothills Fieldhouse. In the first game, the Demon Dogs jumped out to a 4-1 first-half lead and cruised to a 7-2 victory. Game 2 saw the Fire jump out to a 4-1 lead of their own, and they staved off a Demon Dogs comeback to win the game 6-3. 

In semipro, the Littleton Fire swept the Arvada Fire in a Fire v Fire rivalry contest, with the second win coming in a shootout. Front Range and Black Forest Thunder split their series in Colorado Springs.

In Minor, the Denver Stallions and Golden Fire lead their respective divisions, with the Golden Fire sweeping aside newcomers Colorado Gringos.
