1/13 ISCA Recap (Minor)
A week after the orginal snow cancelled weekend, the final minor event of the east coast season took place at ISCA. On the line was final seeding for a number of teams. Chief among that was the 2nd seed in the Northeast division. The Champion Impact, last season's NE division champs, needed to sweep the day in order to leap frog the Legends Black team. A 2nd seed finish would come with a first round bye.
The Impact accomplished their goal and won all four games, each by three goals or more. Included in that was a back and forth shootout with the Shockwave, which the Impact won 8-5. The Shockwave had an opportunity to finish as high as fourth in the Atlantic division, but fell just one point short of the Philadelphia Deuces.
Other notable scenarios saw the Grizzlies win a pair of games on Saturday, passing the Flamingos and finishing in 5th place.
The playoff matchups are now set for next weekend. In the Atlantic division the defending champion Susquehanna Scream will draw the Iron Knights, who finishes the season winning both of their final two games. The other match up will be the Deuces and Shockwave, which should be a highly competitive set of games.
In the Northeast division the Legends Black will meet the Flamingos, while the Legends Gold will take on the Grizzlies in what should also be a highly competitive series.
