09/23 Rapid Fire Recap (Semi-Pro)

by Anthony Flynn

If last season taught us anything, it's that the Northeast Semi-Pro division is wide open for the taking.  On any given day it just seemed any team can beat any other team.  As the season began at Rapid Fire this Saturday, the trend once again proved true, as things kicked off even tighter than ever.  Three of the events first four games went to overtime and on the day no team went undefeated.  In fact, only one team won 3 games in regulation and that was the new look Champion Impact who finished in 6th place last season.

By the end of the event three teams sit with nine points.  In addition to the Impact, the Legends and Goofers both finished the night with 9 points, but both had an overtime win and two overtime losses.  Just one point back is the Snipers who won three games, but one in overtime.  Every team tallied one victory on the day, with the exceotion of the Flamingos.
